Dear Alumni, many of you have associated an important part of your startup journey with the SCE — the first steps, first customers, first grant applications, valuable conversations, new contacts, or simply people who believed in your idea.

The Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship is once again participating in the Financial Times and Statista’s “Europe’s Leading Start-up Hubs” evaluation. A significant portion of the evaluation is based on feedback from founders and alumni who have personally experienced the SCE and its programs.

Would you like to get a taste of the international startup scene, collaborate with talented individuals from Bavaria and Israel, and work on real-world innovation projects at leading companies? Then the Bavaria Israel Partnership Accelerator (BIPA) is the perfect program for you.

From October 12 to December 17, 2026, BIPA will bring together students and young professionals from Bavaria and Israel in interdisciplinary teams to solve technological and entrepreneurial challenges in fields such as AI, smart mobility, medtech, Industry 4.0, and IT security. You won’t be working on a fictional case study, but on real-world challenges faced by international companies and public institutions—guided by experienced mentors from the business world and the startup ecosystem.

The Strascheg Ideas Award is back for another round! For our ideas competition, which offers a total prize pool of 30,000€, we are looking for innovative business ideas and promising startup projects. Students, professors, staff, and alumni of HM can submit their ideas online in various categories until September 13, 2026. How can the skilled trades remain viable for the future while also making a positive contribution to society? A total of 91 students from HM Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences explored this question at the Social X Factor 2026. As part of the interdisciplinary “Real Projects” course offered by the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE), they developed innovative social entrepreneurship concepts centered on the theme “The Crafts of the Future” —ranging from AI-supported knowledge preservation and exoskeletons to new approaches for recruiting young talent and promoting sustainability.

Think entrepreneurially, try out new approaches and implement real innovation projects: The Academic Program for Entrepreneurship (APE) at the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE) is entering its next round. The two-semester certificate program (20 ECTS) is aimed at motivated students and young talents from all disciplines who want to develop entrepreneurial skills and take on responsibility. How does a research project lead to a concrete application, a collaboration with a partner in the field, or even a viable business model? The one-day elective module “Research2Market,” designed for doctoral candidates and research staff at Munich University of Applied Sciences, addresses precisely this question.

Munich, July 28, 2026: 5U AI, a specialist in agentic AI for the freight industry, has raised $3.2 million in an oversubscribed pre-seed round led by London-based investor Emerge Capital. The funds will be used for product development and 5U AI’s European go-to-market strategy.

We congratulate our SCE Incubation Team, nexpaper, on receiving the exist startup grant—a €105,000 grant from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy! This funding will enable the team to further develop its product in a targeted manner, with the clear goal of launching by the end of 2026. For nexpaper, this is a significant milestone on the path to establishing a sustainable startup.

Fifteen months after its founding, the Munich-based legal tech startup Silvernova has surpassed the 1 million euro ARR mark. More than 400 law firms now rely on the AI associate for legal case management—setting a new record every month.

Great news from our alumni network: The SCE alumni startup micro factory 3DSolutions took third place at the 2026 Munich Business Plan Competition! As one of eight finalists, the team impressed the jury with its solution for fully automated medical 3D printing. Organized by BayStartUP and the LfA Förderbank Bayern, the competition annually honors innovative startup teams whose technologies and business models have the potential to make a lasting impact on the economy and society.

Our impressions from the Munich TechDays 2026: Artificial intelligence, digital security, and autonomy are the hot topics of the moment. Europe has an opportunity here to promote local projects through education, investment, and reducing red tape in order to reduce its dependence on tech giants from the U.S. or China.

Congratulations to our alumni startup, Puray! The medtech startup was selected by Falling Walls Venture as one of the “TOP 100 Science Startups to Watch 2026.” Out of a total of 370 applications, Puray impressed the jury and secured a spot on this year’s shortlist.

Our heartfelt congratulations go out to bup system on receiving the exist startup grant! The team of SCE alumnae has developed an idea that is as simple as it is ingenious for promoting circularity in the fashion industry: modular, durable fastening systems made from 100% recyclable aluminum.

We warmly congratulate Geniefy on receiving the exist startup grant!

SCE Incubation alumni Geniefy develops an AI operations layer for property management companies. The solution builds on existing management systems and automates communication via phone, WhatsApp, and, in the future, other channels. Geniefy supports complete workflows, from logging a request to coordinating with service providers to documenting the process in the system. This enables property management companies to grow faster, while all parties involved can continue to communicate through their usual channels. At the same time, the team is working on EU data residency requirements and conducting its own AI research to ensure that AI can be used safely and reliably in property management.

On July 15 and 16, 2026, the innovation and tech community will gather at TechDays Munich 2026 in the Werksviertel. As one of the leading platforms for exchange between research, business, startups, and technology experts, the event will focus on the future-oriented topics of digital sovereignty, cybersecurity, and agentic AI. The Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE) will once again be represented at the event this year with several program highlights.
