Every year at the end of the summer semester, around 120 students from various faculties come together in this special Real Project to work on a social challenge in interdisciplinary teams in a block seminar. In just one week, they develop innovative ideas and functioning prototypes. This semester's topic is DEMOCRACY IN A TECHNOLOGIZED SOCIETY . Register now for the final event on 24.07. at 6 pm!

Dear founders and startup friends, everyone agrees that the German economy needs to transform itself: Startups are driving innovation like no other. But at the same time, there are many hurdles - the shortage of skilled workers, long administrative processes and a lack of capital are slowing down founders. The SCE Alumni Team of Xenopatch (formerly HEALXYZ) has successfully closed its pre-seed financing round with a seven-digit sum.

The Entrepreneurship Center at Munich University of Applied Sciences congratulates the MedTech startup Puray on receiving €300,000 from the DATI Pilot funding. Together with their mentor Prof. Dr. Christian Hanshans from the BioMedLab of Faculty 09, Puray has thus reached another significant milestone.

After completing Batch #8 of the SCE start-up funding program, winning 2nd place in the Strascheg Award 2022, receiving the EXIST start-up grant and KickStart@HM funding, ecomates has now reached another milestone with the receipt of FLÜGGE funding.

The symposium "Sustainability Thinking Ahead" will take place on 04.07.2024 at Munich University of Applied Sciences. The discussion workshop deals with the further development of the Quality Seal for Sustainable Buildings (QNG) for residential buildings and serves as a forum for exchange between networks in the field of sustainability with a focus on new and existing buildings.

Brakeable, an alumnus start-up of the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship, was highlighted in an article in forum Nachhaltig Wirtschaften. The article highlights the paradox between ever shorter product cycles and the need for sustainable practices as prescribed by EU directives.

The next edition of the Innovation Café in May will be all about social media, an essential topic for start-ups. Get a deeper insight into the topic from experts, listen to startup pitches and talk to many exciting personalities from our startup community.

Amsterdam, The Netherlands – May 17, 2024 – At the ECSB's 3E conference in Amsterdam, Johanna Kobilke, Dr. Dana Schultchen and Dr. Audrey Stolze received the 'Runner Up for best Practitioner Development Workshop', while SCE-associated professors Steve Gedeon (Toronto Metropolitan University) and Florian Huber (Hochschule Ingolstadt) received the Best PDW award. 

The Start for Future researchers Colette Henry, Slavica Singer, Ester Bernado, Barbara Gabriel, Robertt Valente, Kare Moberg and Sabrina Tomassi were nominated for the best research paper award for the paper: "Creating playful, responsible, and impactful entrepreneurship education models".

The EXIST program was launched 25 years ago to promote technology-oriented and knowledge-based spin-offs from German universities. Since its launch in 1997, it has made a decisive contribution to establishing a start-up culture at universities and has supported numerous innovative start-ups.
