The Munich-based medtech start-up and SCE alumni Puray has been awarded the prestigious Eugen Münch Prize 2025 by the Rhön Foundation. Every year, the prize recognizes pioneering innovations that sustainably improve the healthcare system - and this is exactly where Puray comes in with its self-disinfecting catheter technology.

The SCE is delighted to congratulate our alumni Alltagsheld on winning 2nd place in the 10th Munich Digital Innovation Award. The prize was awarded as part of DIGICON 2025 - the annual event of the Digital City of Munich e.V., which brings together experts, start-ups and companies under the motto "REINVENT your business and life: Shaping the future with intelligent technologies!".

SCE congratulates its alumni start-up Tangany on winning second place in the Growth/Later Stage category at this year's FinTech Germany Award 2025! At the award ceremony, CFO Heinrich Polke accepted the award on behalf of the entire team. Founded in 2019, Tangany manages blockchain-based digital assets and offers a white-label solution for the secure storage of cryptographic keys. This technology enables financial institutions and companies to securely integrate digital assets such as Ethereum or Bitcoin without having to build their own complex infrastructure.

An evening full of energy, ideas and real encounters: At the last edition of our SCE Friends & Fellows Community Event, everything revolved around the topic of "Best Practice Co-Creation - Do's & Don'ts in joint projects between start-ups and corporates". Together with numerous partners, start-ups and innovators, we experienced how collaboration at eye level brings innovation to life.

And... action! The aftermovie for our SCE Strascheg Award 2025 is here. It gives you a little insight into the thoughts of the winning teams and jury members as well as the entrepreneurial spirit and passion that characterized the evening.

On 20 October, nine winning teams in three categories were awarded prizes at Munich University of Applied Sciences. Thanks to the Falk & Renate Strascheg Foundation, they can look forward to prize money totaling €30,000! Stay tuned, because next week we will introduce you to some of the winners with their full interviews.

Christoph Schramm, founder of Gustavo Gusto, will be a guest at "Entrepreneurs live" at SCE on November 27, 2025. His journey began with a small pizzeria in Passau - today he runs one of the fastest growing frozen pizza providers in Germany. He will give an authentic and practical account of how he wrote a success story without major investors and why failure is a key to success for him. Register now!

Teachers take note! How can students develop the skills to actively shape social challenges? The cross-university, free Teach-The-Teacher program of the Social Entrepreneurship Academy will take place on 22/23 January 2026 in Munich and shows how social responsibility, sustainable management and systemic thinking can be integrated into entrepreneurship teaching - practical, interdisciplinary and with real potential for change. The Social Startup Hub Bavaria of the Social Entrepreneurship Academy invites you to the Social Business Meetup in Munich on December 4 from 6 to 8 pm. There you will gain insights into the stories of two strong founders who will show what entrepreneurship with social added value is all about: Anne Hufnagel from inGemeinschaft will show how intergenerational living can counteract the housing shortage. Doris Schoger from Tildi will report on how she is strengthening the circular economy with her online marketplace for used children's items. Afterwards, you can round off the evening with relaxed networking with the Munich start-up scene.

Great honor for our SCE Alumni Startup ECOFARIO: The founders Dr.-Ing. Sebastian Porkert and Adrian Scholl were awarded the Bavarian State Medal for Outstanding Environmental Achievements 2025. The award was presented by Environment Minister Thorsten Glauber, MdL, at the Munich Residence.

On October 29, 2025, the beyond economy Festival at the House of Communication brought together entrepreneurs, innovators and changemakers to work together on the economy of tomorrow. The Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE) was right in the middle of it all as an Ecosystem Partner. Under the motto "Shaping tomorrow's economy together", the festival was all about cooperation, sustainability and innovation. Topics that fit perfectly with SCE's guiding principle "Beyond Entrepreneurship - Cultivating entrepreneurs and ecosystems of tomorrow".

A warm welcome to the 28 inter/national startups in our Batch #14 of SCE Incubation! We look forward to supporting these innovative and exciting start-up projects over the next 6 months and to accompanying the founders on their individual start-up journey!

On October 20, 2025, the winners of the SCE Strascheg Award 2025 were announced at a festive awards ceremony. After inspiring pitches and a lively start-up fair, the winning teams in three categories were announced in the evening. Congratulations to all winners and a big thank you to all participants for their dedicated contributions, their enthusiasm and their inspiring ideas!

A total of nine teams were awarded prize money of 30,000 euros. Team FemTech received the audience award, while the extra prize from the Bavarian University of Applied Sciences (HDBW) went to LUMA DRONES.

The Munich med-tech startup Puray, an SCE alumni team, won two major awards at the beginning of October: the International Founders Award 2025 (1st place) and 3rd place in the Generation-D competition. The SCE would like to congratulate the team on these impressive successes!

Puray is developing an innovative medical catheter that is disinfected with UVC light during use. This neutralizes all known viruses and bacteria - including multi-resistant germs - without risk to patients or medical staff. With this groundbreaking technology, Puray is setting new standards in infection prevention and has already received numerous awards and funding, including the Health-i Award 2022, the Signal Iduna Prize, the Prize for Innovation in Medical Technology and EXIST and FLÜGGE funding. The team was also part of Batch #6 of the SCE Incubation.

Munich University of Applied Sciences cordially invites you to the 12th Applied Science Slam on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.

From 7 p.m. (admission from 6:30 p.m.) in the large lecture hall G 0.01, Lothstraße 34, it will once again be "Ring frei!" for science in entertainment format. In ten minutes, students and staff will present their research topics with humor, practical relevance and creativity. Props, experiments and show interludes are expressly permitted. Whoever can elicit the most applause from the audience wins the title "Summa cum Stand-up" and the coveted HM red owl trophy.
