Atmen secures €1.3 million pre-seed funding for carbon intensity certification technology

SCE Alumni Atmen (formerly known as Point12) has been awarded €1.3 million for its technology to certify carbon intensity in the EU industrial sector. The Munich-based RegTech company is a pioneer in tracking the carbon intensity of industrial products. The €1.3 million pre-seed funding round, led by Revent and Vireo Ventures, will drive technology development and market penetration. Atmen's innovative technology simplifies and accelerates carbon intensity certification for industrial manufacturers in the EU, initially focusing on hydrogen and e-fuels.

SFF recognised with Special Award at the inauguration of the "Startup Ecosystem Stars Award"

Start for Future (SFF) was recognised in category "Talent & IP" and "Startup Programmes".  The 8th edition of the annual Corporate Startup Stars Awards (CSS) ran alongside the inaugural edition of Startup Ecosystem Stars Awards (SES), which recognised Mariya Gabriel, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, for her vision and unwavering commitment to fostering innovative ecosystems. 

Microsoft was named overall winner of the Corporate Startup Stars Award for exceptional corporate-stratup-engagement during the official Awards ceremony hosted by ICC and Mind the Bridge.

SFF as it "highlights the creation of regional innovation hubs as a strategy to catalyse tech talent and startup creation across multiple European regions, underscoring the power of regional collaboration". All info about winners and nominees here.

After successfully completing Batch #8 of the SCE Incubation Program (formerly SCE Start-up Certificate) and a strong second place at the Strascheg Award 2022 in the category "Best business idea during the study period", ecomates has now been able to announce another highlight. Since the end of 2023, the team has been supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection and the European Social Fund as part of the EXIST program.

SFF MOONSHOT SUMMIT Munich 2023 - Review & Impressions

At the SFF Moonshot Summit 2023 on November 30th and December 01st decision-makers from science, business, politics and start-ups from European innovation ecosystems came together. As part of the innovative "Moonshot" format, the participants from the Start for Future Innovation Network (SFF) worked on developing impactful solutions to forward-looking issues in the fields of mobility, energy, healthcare, manufacturing and regenerative economy. Around 300 guests from a total of 25 universities, 12 incubators from various international ecosystems and 30 companies took part in the two-day Moonshots.
