In 2022, the Dachau District Office once again awarded prizes to projects that save energy, use renewable energies or reduce CO2 emissions. The four most exemplary and innovative projects have now been recognized with the "Energy Award 2022" totaling 3,000 euros. We are happy to congratulate our start-up certificate Batch #6 Alumni "Energie Wäsche" for the first place. With his project "Conversion of a washing machine to heat pump technology", Dr. Alexander Mlynek was able to save 57 percent energy in the operation of the washing machine, and thus fully convinced the jury.

Start for Future Summit 2022: „New Deal of Innovation in Europe“

At the Start for Future Summit 2022 on 23 and 24 November, leading decision-makers from the worlds of politics, science and business gathered under the motto “New Deal of Innovation in Europe” to shape the future of European innovation ecosystems, start-ups and co-creation. European Union Commissioner Mariya Gabriel presented the EU's New European Innovation Agenda.

In the context of the presentation of her book "Zukünfte gestalten: Speculation. Critique. Innovation." Prof. Dr. Eileen Mandir and Prof. Benedikt Groß will give an insight into the concept of Design Futuring on 30.11.22, 6.30 pm.

After successfully passing Batch #5 of the SCE Start-up Certificate Accelerator and a strong third place at the Strascheg Award 2020, in the category "Best Business Idea from Science and Practice", HEALYXZ could now announce another highlight. Since October 2022, the team has been funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection and the European Social Fund as part of EXIST.

At the Start for Future Summit of the HM Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences on November 23rd, the participants of the Strascheg Award 2022 will be celebrated and 15 inter/national winners from 5 categories will be chosen. They can look forward to prize money totaling €40,000! As a special feature this year, in addition to the ideas from the university, international project teams and start-ups from the Start for Future Alliance will also be honored.

The Startup Association has published the Female Founders Monitor 2022. The Female Founders Monitor (FFM) is the central study on the importance of female founders for the startup ecosystem. Based on facts and figures, the FFM raises awareness for the conditions of female startup founders, identifies current challenges and thus makes an important contribution to more diversity. Below you will find the link to the report and an overview of the most important points.

One of the biggest challenges for startups is the search for a suitable space. Once a potential location has finally been found, high investment costs, long-term leases and expensive rents represent further major hurdles that often delay or even completely prevent a start-up. The start-up SHQUARED has developed and implemented an innovative approach to this problem, which is particularly important in the test and start-up phase of start-ups in urban areas:

Christmas is coming ... and so is the Christmas edition of the Innovations-Café. In December, we invite you to the Homecoming Party with our alumni founders from various industries at the SCE. There you will have the opportunity to meet the personalities behind exciting start-ups from our community and to ask the founders personally the questions you always wanted to have answered. You can expect an interactive evening with exciting conversations and networking with the founders in the Creative Hall of the SCE. With the Start?Zuschuss! funding program, the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs is continuing its support for startup projects in the field of digitization. The goal is to provide uncomplicated support to founders in the early stages. The winners of the 14th round of the funding program have now been announced! A total of 36 start-ups from all over Bavaria were able to secure funding. Among them are again some start-ups from the SCE.
