With EXIST Women, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection supports women at universities and research institutions who are interested in setting up a business in the phase prior to founding a company, particularly in the development of their entrepreneurial personality and the further development of their start-up idea.

The startup WorkerHero recently secured an investment round of 4.6 million euros with its recruiting platform of the same name. Founder and SCE alumni Richard Fischer talks about his company's journey to date and its future.

Climate change is also becoming increasingly noticeable in Germany due to heat, drought and flooding. As a result, there is growing pressure on society to move faster and more decisively towards climate neutrality . Local authorities have effective levers at their disposal to curb climate change. The city of Munich has set itself the goal of being climate-neutral by 2035.

At the Precelerator, SCE and HM's community space, everything revolved around robots last week: at the "Clash of Trash" final, 15 teams of HM students presented their self-built battle bots, robotics start-ups from SCE shared their expertise and there were sparking battles in the arena.

The SCE Precelerator, Community Space for Entrepreneurship & Prototyping, aims to motivate young people to start a business. This offer has been available at Munich University of Applied Sciences since 2020, and the café was added as a very important first touchpoint of the community space at the beginning of 2023. On November 27, 2024 from 17:00 to 21:00, the event "Gipfelstürmer des Lebens" (life's summiteers) awaits you at Munich University of Applied Sciences. Inspired by the challenges of scaling Everest and with keynotes from entrepreneur and Everest climber Martin Böhm, TEDx speaker Conny Hörl and triathlon world champion Daniel Unger, participants can learn how community, balance and perseverance help to achieve personal and professional goals.

micro factory has been nominated as a finalist for the prestigious Formnext Start-up Award 2024! Formnext is the world's leading trade fair for additive manufacturing, and the finalist position offers the SCE start-up the opportunity to present its innovative solutions to an international audience of experts.

This year's university contact fair HOKO at HM was full of interesting employers who presented their job offers and benefits to students. Several SCE start-ups were also represented, of which ROBOTe Industrial won the HOKO start-up pitch competition.

With djoon, an alumni startup of the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE) wins the Munich Founder Award 2024 this year! The award from Stadtsparkasse München, which has been honoring outstanding start-ups in the region for over 25 years, goes to djoon this year after an online public vote. And the nominees even include two other SCE alumni, Puray and enna.
