Food & Drink Tech Startups & Investors take note - We are organizing the "Food & Beverage Tech Investor Day" again this year, a high-profile event hosted by three leading players in the startup ecosystem: the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE), the Drink Innovation Campus (DICA) and the Food Startup Incubator Weihenstephan (FSIWS).

Marielena Sperle (APE Alumni) and Dr. Benedikt Risse won the Strascheg Award in category 1, Best Business Idea from a Course, with their start-up "SPACE" in 2021. SPACE is a vertical and stackable hydroponic system. You have a great idea too? Hüseyin Özdemir, Nicolas Koller, Maurice Koller and Johann Giesinger emerged as winners with their start-up "SKOR" at the Strascheg Award 2021 in category 1, Best Business Idea from a Course (FK09, Prof. Dr. Gillig). Since 2016, Handelsblatt and TK have been presenting the Health-i-Award for innovative ideas in the healthcare sector. In the category "Young Projects", our Start-up League Team Puray was able to fully convince and emerge as the winner this year. We congratulate the whole team!

HM's "Applied Science Slam" is going into its next round this fall. Who wants to take the stage and hunt down the Owl of Wisdom with funny and quirky fun facts from their own research? The 6th "Applied Science Slam" is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022 at 7:30 p.m.

drinktec is the World's Leading Trade Fair for the Beverage and Liquid Food Industry and takes place every four years. Miriam Janke, is 24, lives in Berlin and founded the start-up Trilleco in 2021 together with Harjoth Singh and Hans Günter Dahn. As is common for Gen Z, Miriam is particularly passionate about putting her time, effort and motivation into building a more sustainable economy. Inspired by role models in her childhood, she is now co-founder of Trilleco, the no-code platform that helps industrial companies achieve greater efficiency and sustainability for Net-Zero in the spirit of the circular economy and through digital and data-based solutions. The Franco-German creative lab OH MY GOETHE! at the Goethe-Institut Nancy is promoting Franco-German start-up ideas from the cultural and creative industries for the fifth time.

The application phase for the HM and SCE ideas competition is open. As of now, exciting ideas are once again being sought for the Strascheg Award, which is endowed with prize money totaling 30,000 euros.
