Organic and Fair in the Munich Mountain Bus - Successful Prototype Ride of the APE Innovation-Team

On Sunday, July 24, the Munich mountain bus of the German Alpine Club offered its passengers a special catering service on the Chiemgau route. The offer ranged from sandwiches and nut buns to butter pretzels and cool drinks such as lemonades and beer from Lammsbräu - and organic and fair at the same time.

The sale was run by an innovation team as part of the Academic Program for Entrepreneurship (APE) and was made possible by corporate partners Naturland Fair and DAV Munich & Oberland. The goal of the innovation team was to advance Fair Trade & Fair Mobility in the Alpine foothills together with the corporate partners. The prototype ride served to validate test assumptions within the APE innovation process.

In order to guarantee the cooling of food and beverages even during the standstill of the mountain bus, the manager of the Tourist Info Aschau im Chiemgau, Herbert Reiter, provided an electricity connection with cooling facilities.

The offer of biological-fair food has found good acceptance with the mountain-enthusiastic Munich passengers, who would be pleased about this offer in the mountain bus also in the future. The mountain bus is also popular in the regions south of Munich. In addition to relieving traffic congestion, regional providers can also be supported.

Traindoo receives EXIST grant

We are happy with the whole team of Traindoo, which we have already accompanied for almost a year on their successful way, to receive the EXIST-Gründerstipendium. The team consisting of founders Jonas Flach, Manuel Mandl and Fabian Flach went through batch #6 of the SCE Start-up Certificate Accelerator, reached 2nd place in the category "Best Business Idea from Science and Practice" at the Strascheg Award 2021 and recently moved into their own office at the Start-up Incubator of the SCE via the EXIST Founder Grant.

Light + Building awards Neozoon with Optisolis technology: The portable light of the SCE Start-up Alumni integrates the Optisolis full-spectrum LED for light similar to daylight: This year, Neozoon powered by Optisolis wins the Light + Building Design Plus Award in the “Exhibitors” category. Neozoon designed the mobile light according to the cradle-to-cradle principle and integrated NICHIA's Optisolis full-spectrum LEDs as the light source. The combination of design, technical excellence and sustainability convinced the jury of the Design Plus Awards, which will be presented at this year's Light + Building.

Review - Watch the Agora-Aftermovie of the SCE/HM International Incoming Week

In May 2022, over 60 participants from the international partner universities were able to experience the start-up ecosystem of the Munich Metropolitan Region for 5 days as part of an Incoming Week.
